Special General Meeting

Hi All

Welcome to the new photography season for 2009. All the best for your individual photography endeavours and that of the Para Camera Club.

The Club will hold a Special General Meeting (see details below) before the first comp night on Feb 4, 2009.

Historically this night is one of the busiest, so before we do anything else the Special General Meeting will start soon after 7pm when we have enough member numbers to form a quorum. I would envisage that the business shouldn't take long. Competition night proceedings will follow as soon as possible.

For your information, the Office of Consumer Business Affairs has declined our constitution application. We need to include the recommended clause "Powers of an incorporated association" (copies of this clause will be available on Jan 21 meeting) (download a copy of the current constitution)

Also Eddie Verhoef has resigned as Secretary of the club, due to his increased work commitments and a new secretary has to be voted upon.

Hope to see you all on Wed 21 for our first "informal" meeting.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is given to the members of the Para Camera Club Inc. of a Special General Meeting to be held on Wednesday February 4 at 7pm at the club rooms to consider and if thought fit, pass in accordance with the Constitution of the Para Camera Club the following Special Resolutions.

It is proposed that the following clause be inserted into the Para Camera Club Incorporated constitution.

13. POWERS OF THE ASSOCIATION:
The association shall have all the powers conferred by section 25 of the Association Incorporation act 1985.

Due to increased work commitments Eddie Verhoef has resigned as Secretary of the Para Camera Club. Heather Horsnell has offered to take on the role as Secretary of the Club leaving a vacancy on the committee. Moira Colquhoun has offered to fill the position of committee member.

We have nominations at present, any other nominations will be considered at the Special General Meeting held on Feb 4.

It is proposed that Heather Horsnell be nominated as Secretary of the Club. Proposed by Neil Gray and seconded by Alberto Giurelli.

It is also proposed that Moira Colquhoun be nominated for the position as Committee Member. Proposed by Alberto Giurelli and seconded by Greg Eyre.
