22 members of The Para Camera Club enjoyed a successful photographic outing on the June long-weekend at Bungaree Station north of Clare, S.A.
Please note: Some "artistic license" was necessary to include all of The Mob and complete the gathering seen above.
Accommodation ranged from superb to "adequate" and catered for all comfort levels and tastes. The fires in both cottages were well used and provided some much needed warmth and protection against the cool weather.
Members took full advantage of the opportunities to photograph a variety of subjects in and around the Homestead, old buildings and surrounding property of Bungaree. Some members ventured further a field into the broader Clare Valley. The field trip to nearby Mintaro provided more photographic opportunities. I am sure we will see images of this Heritage Area and township for some time to come. Sunday morning tea at Reilly's Vineyard and Tea Rooms was much appreciated.

Each days photo shoot culminated with members sharing a BBQ at the Managers Cottage and a chat around a warm log fire. Eddy is still looking for his BBQ Thongs!. !
For some light entertainment our "Fearless Leader" (Greg) organised a Presidential Quiz with lots a general knowledge questions to be completed over the weekend. After much enjoyment and racking of brains etc combined with much cheating by all, the eventual winners were proclaimed : Sharon and Andy (a very reliable source informs us that Sharon did most of the work) with Pat and Alberto a very close second.

We look forward to some stunning entries from the Woolshed Mob (Presidential Suite) verses the Managers/Council Cottages/Courtyard Apartment (Executive Suites) competition to be held in August.
Thanks to those who spent the time and effort to organise the trip and those who supported their efforts with attendance and participation. Keep your eyes open for the 2009, June long week end trip and lend your support and enjoyment to that.

Wool Bale by Neil GrayPlenty of photographic opportunities and some great light at the old shearing shed on Bungaree Station.
Brown Eyes by Andy SmylieOne of our beautiful models for the photo shoot at the wool shed on Saturday avo.
The Intrepid Couple by Andy SmylieA conversation with David and Yvonne about their adventures as they document the "real" travels of Burke and Wills was fascinating stuff. You can just make out their quad in the background here - quite an inspirational sight to see these two together with such adventurous spirits.
